EdTechChat- LHRICIn October, 2014, #suptchat, the international chat on Twitter for superintendents and school leaders, launched with overwhelming success. A Twitter chat is an opportunity and an invitation to spend an hour with other thought leaders and colleagues - much like a one hour conference call, meeting, or symposium.

Drawing upon the success and popularity of #supchat, LHRIC Model Schools, with inspiration and leadership from Joe Mosey, Ed.D (Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services for Peekskill City School District) is pleased to announce regularly scheduled online chat sessions specifically for local district administrators. If you have a device, one hour, and a curiosity about instructional technology trends and topics, you’re ready to participate.

  • Regularly scheduled Twitter chats
  • Hosted by LHRIC and local district administrators using guiding questions to provoke discussion and sharing
  • 60 minutes, 1 topic, multiple perspectives

2017-2018 Chat Schedule:September 28: Professional Development/Learning • October 26: Communication and Community Engagement • November 30: Student Voice • December 21: Privacy and Security • January 25: Screen time for students (Inspired by the movie Screenagers) • February 15: What technology are you using to support students in overcoming a variety of challenges and limitations? • March 22: Active Learning Spaces • April 26: STEAM education • May 31: Student access to technology • June 28: Preparing probationary teachers to become leaders in your district
